sandlot.gg ("Sandlot", "we", "us", or "our") operates the sandlot.gg website and livestreaming platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Team and game data. We store team names, abbreviations, colors, logos, roster information, game schedules, scores, and scoreboard state that you create within the platform.

Streaming data. When you livestream through Sandlot, we process your video stream to apply scoreboard overlays and relay it to viewers. Streams may be recorded and stored as video-on-demand (VOD) replays.

Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank account details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

Usage data. We collect standard log data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to maintain and improve our service.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the livestreaming and scoreboard platform
• Process your subscription payments
• Store and deliver VOD replays of your games
• Send service-related communications (e.g., account updates)
• Maintain security and prevent abuse
• Improve and develop new features

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us operate the platform (Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, AWS for streaming infrastructure, Convex for data storage, Cloudflare for content delivery)
• Third-party streaming platforms (such as GameChanger) only when you explicitly configure stream forwarding
• Law enforcement when required by law or to protect our rights

Public Information

Livestreams and VOD replays are publicly viewable by anyone with the link. Team names, game scores, and related metadata displayed on public watch pages are visible to viewers. Do not include sensitive information in team names, player names, or other fields that appear on the scoreboard overlay.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. VOD replays are stored according to your subscription plan. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, though some data may persist in backups for a limited period.

Your Rights

You may:

• Access and update your account information through your dashboard settings
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Request a copy of your personal data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Children's Privacy

Sandlot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Roster information (player names and jersey numbers) entered by team administrators is considered team operational data, not personal accounts.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email.
